Day 45, Tribune, Kansas (now in Mountain Time Zone!)

46 miles, 1,939 total

In Tribune, Kansas (The city is named after the New York Tribune, of which Horace Greeley of Chappaqua, New York was the editor.)  Tribune is in Greeley County and the town of Horace is just up the road.

Hot, hot, hot day!  We left Scott City this morning at 7 a.m. to catch the coolest part of the day, but by the time we arrived in Tribune it was over 100 degrees.   The city pool felt wonderful.

Our constant companions on the road – grain trucks
