Williamsburg, Day 2, 5/4/2012

Had our first tour meal after our group meeting.  And who thought biking food couldn’t be delicious??

Walked around historic Williamsburg.  A really interesting place with people dressed in period costumes and full of information about life in the colonial times.

Best part of the historic part of town was the carpenter shop.  Handmade furniture made with non-electric tools that would have been used in colonial days.  Good stuff.

Had our group meeting, going over rules (always wear a helmet, no MP3 players, etc.), coming up with the cooking schedule, and dividing up the cooking gear.

Ride tomorrow is to Yorktown, just 30 miles, a shake-down ride.  Then we’re off on Sunday!

  1. Russ, you will have a hell of an adventure. Extra bonus to have riding buddies from other countries as well.
